Fundraising for Palu and Lombok
In sharing kindness, the people in Tzu Chi will always invite many people to contribute. The goal is so that the blessing (good karma) accumulated from the deed is greater, which in turn could create harmony in society, a safe and peaceful society, and the world is protected from disaster.
In order to build 3,000 houses for earthquake victims in Palu (Central Sulawesi) and Lombok (West Nusa Tenggara), Tzu Chi people began raising funds on October 20-21, 2018. The fundraising was not only done in Jakarta, but also in Aceh, Medan, and Palembang.

Tzu Chi volunteers from North He Qi 1 community conducted a fundraiser at Muara Karang Market, North Jakarta on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The activity which began at 7 this morning received a warm welcome from the community.

Tzu Chi volunteers also shared kindness and care in Food Plaza area to raise funds. Both the old and younger ones, all of them contributed for Palu and Lombok.

community also conducted fundraising in a crowded location, such as PIK Avenue
Mall, Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta.

Other than Sunter Market, in the afternoon, Tzu Chi volunteers also invited visitors in Mangga Dua Jakarta ITC to contribute in helping our brothers and sisters in Palu and Lombok who were affected by the disaster.

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, a representative from Dhammavihari Buddhist Studies came to Tzu Chi Center to submit donations for the victims of the earthquake in Palu, Sigi, and Donggala through Tzu Chi.

A total of 15 Tzu Chi volunteers from West He Qi 1 Community mobilized the hearts of visitors, employees and kiosk owners at Taman Palem Mall, Cengkareng, West Jakarta on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

A total of 27 Tzu Chi Hu Ai Jembatan Lima volunteers conducted fundraising from 12.00 to 15.30 WIB on the same day on Saturday and Sunday, which was warmly welcomed by ITC Building Management Roxy Mas, shop owners, and visitors.

In addition to Jakarta, Tzu Chi volunteers in Medan also participated in raising funds simultaneously at three locations: Sun Plaza, Central Point, and Brastagi Tiara Supermarket Medan, North Sumatra.
