On October 29, 2019, President of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo paid a visit to Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Tadulako housing in between his busy schedule on a business trip.  President Widodo appreciated the housing that Tzu Chi built for Palu’s quake victims in Sigi and Donggala, Central Sulawesi.

The Tzu Chi house rebuilding project in Kamal Muara village, North Jakarta has been going on for over three months and its currently under the finishing stage. 35 teachers and staff from Tzu Chi School with 34 volunteers from North He Qi 1 and 2 put their hearts and hands together to run 3 activities in one day on Sunday, October 27, 2019, from house painting to environment conservation.

Tzu Chi Secondary School students practiced and learned about Tzu Chi’s humanistic culture with gratitude, respect, and love through the tea ceremony class during the first term of the academic year 2019/2020.

After Palu, the verification process for residents of Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Housing in Sigi regency, Central Sulawesi. The verification process was done on 28-29 September 2019 at the Sigi Development Planning Board (Bappeda) office, exactly one year after the Palu earthquake. There are 766 earthquake and liquefaction relief recipients to be verified.

There were 105,4 kilograms of waste collected by Tzu Chi Secondary students, which was shocking since the event was only went on for an hour. From the 105,4 kilograms of waste, there were 39 kilograms of recyclable waste, and 66,4 kilograms of non-recyclable waste. 

On Tuesday, (6/8/2019) Tzu Chi Early Childhood was both honoured and excited to welcome the panel of judges of the National Competition for Healthy Schools 2019 who were representatives of various ministries, namely; the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Religion led by Mr Eko Wahyudi Hidayat; the Chief Judge.

Happy news again greeted the residents affected by the earthquake and tsunami in the areas of Palu, Donggala, and Sigi, Central Sulawesi. Because the construction of permanent housing (Hunian Tetap aka Huntap) will begin again. Located in Pombewe Village, Kec. Sigi Biromaru, Kab. Sigi, Central Sulawesi The laying of the first stone of the Tzu Chi Pombewe Cinta Kasih Housing construction was held on Monday, July 1, 2019.

The building process of 10 houses in Kamal Muara village were started with demolition of the old houses. The demolition process were done by 300 teachers and staff of Tzu Chi School on July 9, 2019.

Gathering of Tzu Chi Career Scholarship Awardee this time, 23^rd June 2019, invited Dr. Noor Hadi, Sp. Rad who was also a Tzu Chi Scholarship Awardee. Doctor Noor Hadi motivated his “juniors” to always focus and enthusiastic in pursuing their ambitions.

Tzu Chi Indonesia responded to the floods that hit the Konawe region of Southeast Sulawesi by providing medical assistance and a package of needs for refugees in the Pondidaha, Konawe District, Southeast Sulawesi on Monday, June 17, 2019. 

The enthusiasm for building houses of worship in North Lombok was very high by the Mr. Najmul Akhyar, Regent of North Lombok. Therefore he was very grateful for the support of Tzu Chi who supported the enthusiasm of the people of North Lombok in Laying the Stone for the Construction of Suta Damma Temple, Friday, June 14, 2019.

It’s been 5 months since citizen of Palu, especially they who had their home destroyed because of the earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction have to live in temporary shelter. Answering their hope to get back a decent house, yesterday, Monday 4^th March 2019, the ground breaking of Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Tadulako 1 and 2 Housing finally done.
