Tzu Chi Singkawang is having groundbreaking for the development of Tzu Chi School Singkawang, Monday 18^th February 2019. The third school built by Tzu Chi Indonesia Buddhist Foundation was initiated by Singkawang local. Pui Sudarto, who is also volunteer of Tzu Chi Indonesia.

Eka Tjipta Widjaja was introduced to Tzu Chi Indonesia by his secretary, Chia Wen Yu. In 1998, Wen Yu invited Eka Tjipta to meet Master Cheng Yen, founder of Tzu Chi Foundation, at Hualien, Taiwan. Since then, Eka Tjipta always supported Tzu Chi activities in Indonesia.

Tzu Chi Indonesia 2018 Year End Blessing have a different vibes. The Dharma Assembly of Wu Liang Yi Jing which is the core of Tzu Chi spirit, become the theme of the year end blessing. 865 volunteers recited the Sutra and did the sign language beautifully on Sunday, 13^th January 2019.

Tzu Chi Indonesia responded to tsunami disaster in Selat Sunda by providing assistance to the affected victims in Sumur sub-district, Pandeglang, Banten. The support was in the form of cash, assistance for daily necessities, and health services.

A long line of Tzu Chi charity mission volunteers shared their stories at Tzu Chi Charity Mission Gathering. Even though there were one or two sad stories, they agreed to conclude that everything was a lesson filled with happiness.

Being able to visit DAAI TV Station has become a fun and valuable experience for 50 students of Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School in Indramayu, West Java. Tzu Chi Indonesia in collaboration with Indonesian Badminton Community held an fundraising and charity auction exhibition entitled "Indonesian Badminton Cares for Donggala Palu" at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, Saturday (11/24). A number of famous Indonesian badminton athletes auctioned their jersey and racket off.

"Well ... there, near the swallow's house," Sofian said, pointing at the only building he remembered and still remained. "My house used to be next to the swallow's house. But there's nothing left," he said with a smiling face. Sofian's house used to be in Perumnas Balaroa and was affected by liquefaction, which the residents of Palu said; the land had already melted away as if it had just come out of a blender. Tzu Chi’s social health service often becomes a touching moment, especially when a cataract patient who couldn’t see before can finally re-capture a glimmer of light, as felt by Eva who accompanied her mother, Rodiah (59) and her grandfather, Sahro (86). When the bandages on their eyes were removed, they immediately felt emotional because they could see each other again.

Located at an altitude of 800 to 1.200 meters above sea level, Sembalun district, East Lombok, NTB has become the hardest location affected by the earthquake to be reached. Friday, August 31, 2018, Tzu Chi Indonesia distributed the third wave of aid and also delivered assistance to Sembalun district.
