Disaster Relief
When a disaster occured, Tzu Chi volunteers immediately provide help and care to disaster victims. In providing disaster reliefs, Tzu Chi volunteers adheres to the principle of “direct, prioritize, essential, respectful, and prompt act.”.
Tzu Chi's provision of assistance to victims of natural disasters is generally divided into three stages: short -term, medium -term, and long -term. These three levels mean preserving the body, calming the mind, and restoring life.
