Charity Fund
Since 1993, Tzu Chi Indonesia has started a charitable mission by providing assistance to several nursing homes and orphanages around Jakarta. Now the assistance is growing, starting from emergency assistance, patients with special treatment, foster children, long-term life support, to the construction of housing affected by disasters. The provision of Tzu Chi assistance is guided by the principle of compassion for others based on universal love. Every assistance delivered by Tzu Chi is always with the consideration of direct, targeted, and tangible benefits.
The assistance provided includes: living expenses assistance, visits to social institutions, medical assistance, bridge construction, assistance for victims of fires, floods, and other aid packages. Tzu Chi also provides educational scholarships from elementary school to university level, construction of religious facilities, and housing renovation programs for underprivileged residents.
