The Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Polyclinic, which is located within the Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Housing complex, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, was inaugurated on August 25, 2003 by President Megawati Soekarnoputri. In its early years, the polyclinic provided services in the fields of general medicine, dentistry and ophthalmology. Apart from that, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and ultrasound facilities were also available.

In order to serve the wider society and more optimally, the Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Polyclinic's license was upgraded to the status of Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Hospital on June 21, 2006. Since 2009, volunteer observers have started to appear as a bridge between paramedics and patients. The presence of these volunteers also provides inner peace for the patients. A number of activities carried out by the volunteer observers included helping nurses change the patient's wound dressings, cutting nails and washing the patient's hair, feeding the patient, changing the sheets, and helping with the preparation of medical equipment.

The Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Hospital continues to innovate and develop in the quality of its services. One of them was realized by the achievement of the Plenary Predicate (Star 5) from the Hospital Accreditation Committee (KARS) on July 8, 2019.
