Pandemic Covid 19 is spreading around the world. Indonesia's Covid cases are in significant numbers and impacting the public's economy. Tzu Chi volunteers at Palembang work together with the Government of South Sumatra, Police Headquarter of South Sumatra and Sriwijaya Military Command II had distributed 30.000 packages or 150 tons of rice for underprivileged families.

Tzu Chi's volunteers arrived at the Police Headquarter of South Sumatra with enthusiasm on Tuesday morning, August 03 2021. Tzu Chi’s volunteers and several police there work together for preparation of ceremonial symbolic handover package's distribution with banners put on the transportation cars.

Tzu Chi volunteer, Chandra Antonio gave directly to Kapolda Inspector General Police Prof Dr Eko Indra Heri, MM and passed to the Government of South Sumatra, Palembang's Polrestabes and Kodim 0418 Palembang for distribution to needy peoples.

"Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation Palembang had received 30.000 rice packages (150 tons) this time for distribution and supported several times to communities affected by Covid 19." said Kapolda Inspector General Police Prof Dr Eko Indra Heri, MM.

Mayor of Palembang, Harnojoyo. S.Sos also expressed his gratitude to the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation in Palembang for continuously helping the community, especially those in need.
