DAAI Night 2024: Vegetarian Gala Dinner Commemorates the 17th Anniversary of DAAI TV Indonesia

The Board of Directors and performers at DAAI Night 2024 (Vegetarian Gala Dinner) gathered for a photo to extend their sincere thanks to the attendees for their continued support of DAAI TV Indonesia.

In commemoration of its 17th anniversary on August 25, 2024, DAAI TV Indonesia hosted DAAI Night 2024, featuring a Vegetarian Gala Dinner at the Sun City Ballroom in Central Jakarta on Saturday evening, July 27, 2024. The event, attended by approximately 1,000 distinguished guests, was highlighted by performances from both domestic and international artists.

The evening began with a captivating performance by Gazpar Araja, who entertained the audience with a selection of songs while masterfully playing the Sasando, a traditional musical instrument from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This culturally rich performance set a sophisticated tone for the event. Following the performance, the Master of Ceremonies extended a warm welcome to the attendees, setting the stage for the evening’s proceedings. The event then moved into a more formal segment, with Edy Wiranto, a member of the Board of Directors (BOD) of DAAI TV Indonesia, delivering an opening address. His remarks underscored the significance of the occasion and outlined the vision for the evening ahead.

In addition to performances by both domestic and international artists, attendees at DAAI Night 2024 were also treated to a selection of carefully curated vegetarian dishes.

“Reaching the age of 17 is no easy feat. We are committed to continually innovating, adapting, and creating to pass on love and care from generation to generation. Thank you for the support and affection from all parties over these 17 years. The achievements and recognition that DAAI TV has garnered to date are due to the support of our corporate sponsors, viewers, and Friends of DAAI,” stated Edy Wiranto.

The DAAI Night 2024, themed Vegetarian Gala Dinner, was graced by the presence of Liu Su Mei and Sugianto Kusuma, Chair and Vice Chair of the Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation Indonesia, respectively. Liu Su Mei remarked, “With DAAI TV (Indonesia) celebrating its 17th anniversary, it has reached a significant milestone. In recent years, DAAI TV has consistently embraced technological advancements to continue its mission of spreading beauty and virtue within the community. We hope that DAAI TV’s ongoing presence will contribute to making the world a better place.”
       
Katon Bagaskara delivered a stellar performance at DAAI Night 2024 (Vegetarian Gala Dinner), performing the song "Yogyakarta" along with other hit tracks while engaging with the audience.

The atmosphere at DAAI Night 2024 (Vegetarian Gala Dinner) grew even more vibrant as the approximately 1,000 attendees joined in a sing-along, illuminating the room with the flashlights from their smartphones.

While savoring the vegetarian cuisine, attendees were entertained by performances from Katon Bagaskara, Cao Feng, and Taiwanese singer Chyi Yu. The event reached a high point when Katon Bagaskara performed his acclaimed song "Yogyakarta," creating a warm atmosphere as he engaged with the audience and encouraged them to sing along. Similarly, Chyi Yu's performance of nostalgic Mandarin hits inspired participants to stand and join in the singing, contributing to the lively and festive atmosphere of DAAI Night 2024.

During the event, Katon Bagaskara extended his heartfelt congratulations to DAAI TV Indonesia on its 17th anniversary and conveyed his wishes for its continued success. "My hope is that DAAI TV (Indonesia) will further inspire, become a greater blessing to the community, and continue to spread love to those around us," he stated.

“Therefore, the most important thing is to start with a single small light, which then grows into a second light, a third light, and ultimately becomes a great beacon for everyone. Once again, congratulations from me, with wishes of peace and love,” stated Katon Bagaskara.
 
Chyi Yu, the Taiwanese singer, performed nostalgic Mandarin songs that inspired the audience to sing along.

Dr. Nurwanti Moersito, a guest from the Trisakti Scholarship Foundation, expressed her satisfaction and enjoyment of the DAAI Night 2024 (Vegetarian Gala Dinner), noting the event’s entertainment value and overall impact.

Both the attendees and guests felt a strong sense of community during DAAI Night 2024. Many expressed their pleasure in being part of the event. “It was remarkable; everyone came together with a shared spirit of love, contributing to the common good regardless of background or identity. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the impeccably organized event,” said Dr. Nurwanti Moersito, a guest from the Trisakti Scholarship Foundation.

At the end of the event, Dr. Nurwanti Moersito and all attendees were presented with gifts as a gesture of appreciation for their support of DAAI TV. “I hope DAAI TV continues to be a television station that upholds values of compassion and love, and serves as a platform for everyone. May it foster unity and have a positive impact on many lives,” Dr. Nurwanti Moersito remarked as DAAI TV Indonesia approaches its 17th anniversary.
