Donation for 200 Orphans in Makassar

In the fast breaking event, volunteers asked one of the orphanage's children about the historical video of Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation that had been showed.

Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation Makassar once again held a social activity by giving donation. This time, around 200 orphans from five orphanages received an Eid Fitri package at Tzu Chi Office in Makassar on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Tzu Chi Makassar Chairman (Chairperson), Lamsin Indjawati said that the distribution of those packages was part of Ramadan social charity program by Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation Makassar Office, continued by breaking the fast together and showing the History of Tzu Chi.

"Social charity has become one of our routine activities every fasting month and during other religious holidays," he said.

According to Lamsin Indjawati, sharing is one of the best devotion and become a noble charity. Moreover it gives happiness and smile to others.

Volunteers joined the orphanage in fast breaking together.


Volunteers invited the orphanage children to demonstrate the hand gestures of One Family.

One of the recipients of Eid package from the Raodatul Jannah Orphanage, Pia is deeply grateful for the donation. Moreover, Tzu Chi is very concerned about others without the limitation of religious belief.

"This is my first time to come here and receive the donation. I am very grateful for the help provided, and the help this foundation has given to disaster victims," she said.

Pia hoped, Buddha Tzu Chi Foundation Makassar Office can continue conduct other humanitarian activities including providing educational fund for the less fortunate.
