Palu Earthquake: Tzu Chi Medical Team Headed to Palu

Hercules aircraft, which belongs to Indonesian Air Force.
Today, Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018, at 10.30 WITA, 5 volunteers from Tzu Chi Emergency Response Team and the Medical Team from Tzu Chi International Medical Association (TIMA) Indonesia departed from Sultan Hasanuddin airport Makassar, South Sulawesi to Palu, Central Sulawesi. Tzu Chi volunteer team joined the flight using Hercules aircraft which belongs to the Indonesian Air Force.
Five volunteers from
Tzu Chi Emergency Response Team and the Medical Team left for Palu, Central
Sulawesi. Tzu Chi volunteers also brought: medicines and tents.

prepared medicines which would be taken to Palu.
During this departure, Emergency Response Team and Tzu Chi Medical Team also carried relief items, such as: 155 kg of medicines (23 boxes from Jakarta), 50 kg of medicines (9 boxes) which were purchased in Makassar in the form of liquid alcohol and syrup medicine for children, as well as 4 tents to serve as the Medical Team’s living quarters during the health assistance service in the earthquake area.
Relief items from Tzu Chi were prepared to be
sent by Hercules aircraft along with Tzu Chi Medical Team.
One more team from Tzu Chi Medical Team (in Makassar) was still waiting for the departure schedule using other Hercules aircraft.
