She wished that later on, the community of volunteers in each He Qicould have their own depot as a place to facilitate environmental conservation activity.

After pulling the red cloth off, volunteers moved inside the depot which is located behind Jing Si Hall.

Adenan, the functional of Environmental Conservation activities in North He Qi1 had also expressed the same thing. He considered that a depot is currently a vital place for Earth care as well as to introduce Tzu Chi.

"Like Tzu Chi depot at various other points, this depot will not only be used as a place to sort out waste, but also as a place for environmental conservation education so that it can give knowledge about environmental conservation to volunteers and the surrounding community," explained Adenan.

The Educational Recycling Stationof Tzu Chi Center, PIK's in-charge, Andrianto, was also delighted to be able to inaugurate the depot alongside volunteers. "I'm certainly very happy. I had long since ceased from volunteer activities because of busy work. When I get this good fortune, I try to grasp the opportunity given," he said, smiling.

The inauguration ceremony was then followed by a tumpeng cutting by Liu Su Mei together with Yuli Natalia (Head of North He Qi1) and the planting of six saman trees in front of the depot  by volunteers. "This time volunteers are in charge of planting, next time the volunteers' duty is to take great care of them," said Liu Su Mei, followed by a nod of approval from other volunteers.

Various hopes and wishes were also accompanying the inauguration of the depot, which is located behind Jing Si Hall. Hok Lay (North He Qi2 Tzu Chi volunteers) hoped that the depot can be a place that provides education to volunteers. "About how to love our Earth, how to value every life in the universe, as well as the natural resources," said Hok Lay.

"Hopefully this depo can be a gateway for new volunteers," hoped Thomas (North He Qi 1 Tzu Chi volunteers). "Hopefully it will expand the line of volunteers so that we can study together here (at the depot)," said Teguh Bunarto Tjhai (West He Qi Tzu Chi volunteers). "Hopefully this depot can be a means for self-training. Besides taking care of Earth, we surely taking care of our heart; clearing up any defilements that are within us," said Suherman (West He Qi Tzu Chi volunteer), complementing the volunteers' prayers.

Meanwhile, Yuli Natalia expressed her gratitude and reminded volunteers to actively conduct environmental conservation in order to protect the environment and care for the Earth. "Again, we all need to feel that this (depot) belongs to us all and taking care of the Earth is our responsibility," said her.
