Tzu Chi Health Service in Cicalengka

The distance of available health facilities has made people living in the line of poverty unable to get a proper medical treatment. Seeing this condition, Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation Bandung tries to solve this problem.
This time, Tzu Chi Bandung in cooperation with West Java Police held a free social health service for residents of Cicalengka Subdistrict, Bandung. The social service took place at ONIBA Center Building on Sunday, June 24th, 2018 and had successfully treated 922 residents.
This social service is also becoming a moment for Tzu Chi Bandung to sort out patients who need further help. In addition, surrounding communities can get to know more closely about the vision and mission of Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation that puts forward social-humanity acts.

The social service which is located at ONIBA Center Building, Jl. Raya Cicalengka KM 1 No. 81, on Sunday, June 24, 2018 has successfully treated as many as 922 residents.
This social service was attended by West Java Police Chief, Inspector General Budi Maryoto and his staff, as well as the Regent of Bandung, H. Dadang M. Nasser. In his speech, Budi Maryoto expressed his gratitude to the institutions that participated in organizing the social service in Cicalengka Subdistrict. This joint activity will bring a great change to the residents of Cicalengka and surroundings in terms of health.
"Thank you to Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation and other institutions that have joined in and contributed to the people of West Java, especially to Cicalengka residents in spreading love," he said.
Herman Widjaja as the Head of Tzu Chi Bandung is pleased by the great enthusiasm of Cicalengka residents who attended the health service. Proven, by 06.30 WIB residents had packed the location. "Hoping that they can know more about Tzu Chi, and then if the patients needing further treatment is indeed considerable, that means we will possibly hold a follow-up social service or degenerative social service," said Herman.

The existence of free social service is certainly expected by the less fortunate. The benefits of this activity is greatly felt by all citizens who attended the social service. not only lighten up their daily burden, they can also have a direct consult with the doctor about their illness. "We can safe cost, because for citizens with mediocre economic condition, medical treatment is quite expensive so this is very helpful. Hopefully this kind of activities will continue. We give a thousand thanks to Tzu Chi Buddhist Foundation who has participated in Kapolda Jabar Day (72nd Bhayangkara Anniversary- red), hopefully getting a good response and more from here," said Supriyatna.
