Tzu Chi Indonesia Budhist Foundation’s Chief with PT. DAAI Boga’s board of directors and Tzu Chi volunteers did the ribbon cutting as in the inauguration of PT. DAAI Boga’s office and and DAAI Instant Noodle official launch.

Having sold over 15 thousand boxes in less than two months, DAAI Instant Noodle – under PT. DAAI Boga – inaugurated its operational office in DAAI Building, 5th floor in Tzu Chi Center Complex, PIK. PT. DAAI Boga’s board of directors, Tzu Chi volunteers, Tzu Chi Budhish Foundation and DAAI TV’s staff attended the inauguration of PT. DAAI Boga’s office on Thursday, 26 October 2017.

Expression of joy and gratitude for having a new office was shown by Lukman Samsudin, the Chief Director of PT. DAAI Boga. “It is an amazing day today,” he declared with a grin on his face. “I am grateful for the inauguration of DAAI Boga’s office and this DAAI Instant Noodles official launch. We thank Master Cheng Yen for giving us guidance to be independent and do more for those in needs,” he continued.

DAAI Instant Noodle had been introduced to public on 28 August 2017. The response was remarkable as demands kept growing. As of now, DAAI Instant Noodles are available in two flavours: soto and fried noodle.

Different from onther instant noodles, DAAI instant Noodle is healthy vegetarian noodle. “The seasoning contains no MSG, the noodle contains no artificial preservatives and colouring, it is produced with natural materials and has obtained MUI Halal certificate as well as International Vegetarian Certificate,” claimed Hendra Wirawan, PT. Daai Boga’s Product Manager.

Lukman Samsudin (third from the left), PT. DAAI Boga Chief Director expressed gratitude in his welcoming speech in the inauguration of DAAI Boga’s office on Thursday, 26 October 2017.

Liliawati Rahardjo Soetjipto (right, holding a flyer) promoted DAAI Instant Noodle by opening a stall called Mi Hopeng in Summarecon Mall Serpong.

Collaborating with PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, DAAI Instant Noodle is expected to be people’s favourite vegetarian instant noodle. Moreover, the profit from the sale will be used to spread love through DAAI TV and is allocated for Tzu Chi Budhist Foundation’s charity mission. “It’s buying and giving charity at the same time,” said Lukman.

In this opportunity, Lukman thanked Tzu Chi volunteers in Jakarta and in all connecting offices as well as the staffs as they have worked hard introducing DAA Instant Noodle to public.

This unique way in promoting DAAI Instant Noodle was also taken by Liliawati Rahardjo Soetjipto, Tzu Chi committee volunteer. Since 13 October 2017, she has opened Mi Hopeng stall in Summarecon Mall Serpong. This stall sells ready-to-eat DAAI Instant Noodle in six different varieties: Blackpepper mushroom fried noodle, Original vegetable fried noodle, Sambal matah fried noodle, Sweet and sour tofu pineapple fried noodle, Tofu skin soto noodle, and Cowpea sayur krecek soto noodle. The price is pocket-friendly.

Mi Hopeng stall was named after hao pengyou which means good friends. It can sell up to 40 portions of DAAI Instant Noodle daily and 50 to 60 portions on the weekend. “Animals are good friends of humans and should not be eaten. Let’s just eat vegetarian meals,” said Li Ing, Liliana’s nickname. “The sale is not that high, but I am quite happy as we are still introducing this noodle,” Li Ing added.

Tzu Chi Indonesia Budhist Foundation’s Chief, Liu Su Mei cut the tumpeng in the inauguration of  DAAI Boga’s office. The cut was given to PT. DAAI Boga’s board of directors and Tzu Chi volunteers.

The other thing that makes Li Ing happy is when she tried the soto flavoured DAAI Instant Noodle herself. “It is actually good, really delicious. I just added some vegetables, egg, and chili with hot water. Wow, ‘I can get addicted’I thought,” she exclaimed.

Seeing the high enthusiasm from other parties, Tzu Chi Budhist Foundation’s Chief, Liu Sumei expects that the humanity mission started by DAAI Instant Noodle can sustain in a long term. “Where PT. DAAI Boga cares for health and DAAI TV cares for our inner purity,” said Liu Sumei.

Not much different from Liu Sumei, Lukman expects that this vegetarian noodle can be accepted widely. “Because we know that this is a healthy and vegetarian food. Everyone can consume, from vegans, vegetarians, to non-vegetarians. This is a program not to kill animal, and it involves in environment preservation,” he explained.
